Matthew Batten, Quinnipiac

Batten went a combined 7-for-13 this weekend, scoring four runs to go along with three RBI’s. The senior registered back-to-back three-hit games on Saturday and Sunday at VMI, raising his batting average to .333 so far this year.
Pitcher of the Week
Nick Margevicus, Rider
Jr., 6-5, LHP, North Royalton, OH/Saint Ignatius
In his third start of the season, Nick Margevicius went seven innings and allowed three earned runs in a victory against Georgia last week. Margevicius picked up his second win of the season as he scattered five hits and fanned three Bulldogs.
Rookie of the Week
Peter Battaglia, Niagara
Fr., 6-2, 1B/OF, Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North
Battaglia had seven RBI, six hits and two runs scored in NU’s week against Virginia Tech and Marshall. Against Marshall on March 11, Battaglia had three RBI and two hits. He had at least one hit in each of the four games Niagara played. He finished the week batting .400, had a slugging percentage of .533 and an on base percentage of .500.
