Mueller, Murphy, Blamon, & Davis Earn Outdoor Track & Field Performers of the Week

Men’s Field Performer
Corey Murphy, Monmouth
Jr., Yaphank, NY
Murphy helped the Hawks usher in the outdoor season with a couple of impressive performances at the withheld on the campus of High Point University. Murphy took gold in the shot put with his throw of 59’ 5.5” as Monmouth went 1-3-4 in the event. He then came back and placed second in the discus with his IC4A qualifying mark of 164’ 11”.
Men’s Track Performer
Fabian Mueller, Manhattan
Gr., Amtzell, Germany
In his first competition of the year after sitting out the indoor campaign, Mueller finished second in both the 100 and 200 meters at the Dennis Craddock Carolina Relays, posting IC4A-qualifying times in both events. After running the 200 in 21.92 seconds on Friday, he registered a 10.88-second clocking in the 100 on Saturday. Mueller was also a part of the Jaspers’ 4x100 meter relay squad that took third in 42.79 seconds.
Women’s Field Performer
Faith Blamon, Monmouth
Sr., Cinnaminson, NJ
Senior Captain Faith Blamon competed in three events for the Hawks at the Bob Davidson Spring Kickoff, earning a second place finish in the javelin with an ECAC qualifying throw of 151’ 3”. She also competed in the discus and the hammer for the Hawks but did not crack the top-three in either event.
Women’s Track Performer
Jasmine Davis, Manhattan
So., Ronkonkoma, NY
Davis won the 400 meters at the Dennis Craddock Carolina Relays on Saturday. With a time of 58.49 seconds, she qualified for the ECAC Championships in the event.
