Player of the Week
Tori Reed, Fairfield

Reed batted .407 with three home runs and 11 RBI as the Stags posted a 3-5 record during its trip to Florida last week. The catcher started all eight games and picked up at least one hit in each of those appearances. She posted four games with two RBI, including a three-hit performance in a win over Chattanooga. Five of her 11 hits on the week went for extra bases including a home run against FIU, Saint Joseph’s, and Bethune-Cookman. The senior was also responsible for scoring eight of the team’s 29 runs during the eight-game stretch.
Pitcher of the Week
Madi Weathers, Canisius

Junior pitcher Madi Weathers went 1-1 with a save and a 0.78 ERA last week, as Canisius played six games on it annual Spring Break trip. She was the tough-luck loser in the circle for the Golden Griffins March 15, as she went the distance and allowed two runs on five hits in a 2-1, extra-inning loss to FGCU. She came back to earn the win for Canisius after she allowed three hits, all singles, while fanning seven in the team’s 3-0 win over Cleveland State March 17. In that win, she threw 101 pitches and didn’t allow a base runner past second base. The Westminster, California native pitched three shutout innings against Drexel March 18, en route to her third save of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Lacey Olaff, Fairfield
Fr., 5-9, INF, Florence, NJ/Florence Twp. Memorial
Olaff batted .350 over eight games with a homer and six RBI as the Stags posted a 3-5 record during their trip to Florida. She picked up a hit in six of the team’s eight games, starting each of those contests. She started the week with a pair of hits and an RBI in a 3-0 win over Rutgers. She tallied a week-best three RBI with a home run in loss to Saint Joseph’s, and followed with a hit, a sacrifice fly and a walk with two RBI against Army West Point. Olaff is batting .408 for the season with 17 RBI in 19 games.
