Liam Wilson, Canisius

Liam had a strong series against George Mason this past weekend, batting .500 in the three game series with six hits and six RBI to give Canisius a consistent scoring threat. Wilson’s biggest day came in the opening contest of the series, as the third basemen helped erase a 5-0 deficit, notching four hits and three RBI, in a heartbreaking extra innings loss. He also tallied a hit in the second game of the day and exploded for a trio of RBI in the finale, going 1-of-4 from the dish. Not only was his batting average high, but he recorded an on base percentage of .571 and a slugging percentage of .667.
Pitcher of the Week
Gavin Wallace, Fairfield
Jr., 6-5, RHP, Madison, NJ/Madison
Gavin Wallace threw a nine-inning complete game shutout against the reigning Atlantic Sun champions Stetson leading the Stags to a series win. Wallace needed only 98 pitches to set career-highs in innings (nine) and strikeouts (nine) while walking just two batters. Wallace allowed more than one hit in justone inning as the Hatters tallied seven against the junior.
Rookie of the Week
Tyler Kapuscinski, Marist
Fr., 5-11, 1B/DH, Marlboro, NJ/Colts Neck
Kapuscinski continued his strong offensive numbers, batting .375 (6-for-16) with two doubles, three walks, one stolen base, one home run, five runs scored, four RBI, a .688 slugging percentage and a .474 on base percentage. In a 15-6 win at VCU, Kapuscinski went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, a walk, three runs scored and four RBI. In a 4-3 win over Penn, he went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored.
