Jacksonville sweeps Weekly Awards

1st Varsity 8+
In their first weekend of spring competition, Jacksonville University’s 1st Varsity 8+ boat finished in third place with a time of 6:57.5 in the 2000 meter race. Jacksonville beat out Nova Southeastern and fellow MAAC member Stetson University to finish third. Members of Jacksonville’s boat were: Coxswain-Claire McLenna, (8) Sara Miller, (7) Victoria Tkacz, (6) Meg Coyle, (5) Yailene Herrera, (4) Veronika Stasaityte, (3) Stacey Price, (2) Nicole Martin, and, (1) Sarah Goodman.

2nd Varsity 8+
Jacksonville’s 2nd Varsity 8+ boat finished their 2000 meter race with a time of 7:05.3 to secure third place over the weekend. The 2nd Varsity 8+ boat also finished ahead of Nova Southeastern and Stetson. The boat was lead by Coxswain Emily Nierman, and by rowers (8) Sara Miller, (7) Rochelle Martinez, (6) Madison Boyer, (5) Samantha Amadio, (4) Jennifer Pavlik, (3) Jessica Shipkowski, (2) Katharina Dinsmore, and, (1) Alex Pulliam.

The Varsity A4+ boat of Jacksonville University finished with a time of 7:53.9 in the 2000 meter race in their first weekend of spring competition. Coxswain Alexandria Kyriakidis lead rowers (4) Tori West, (3) Gabrielle Torres, (2) Emily Woods, and (1) Colette McDonald.
