Monmouth University Men’s Lacrosse Claims 2017 Regular Season Championship

EDISON, NJ – For the first time in program history, the Monmouth University Men’s Lacrosse team is the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Men’s Lacrosse Regular Season Champions. The Hawks sit at 5-0 in the MAAC after defeating Canisius College, 11-6 on Friday night in West Long Branch, NJ. Monmouth takes on Manhattan College in its regular season finale on Saturday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
The Hawks also secured the number one overall seed in the 2017 MAAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship, which takes place from Friday, May 5-Sunday, May 7 at Marist College, who is serving as the championship host. Monmouth faces the fourth seed in the semifinals on Friday, May 5.
