Men’s Field Performer of the Week

Love Litzell, Manhattan

Sr., Ostersund, Sweden

Litzell moved up the NCAA East Preliminary Round qualifying list with his second-place performance in the hammer throw at Princeton University’s Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday.  He had a season-best effort of 67.12 meters (220 feet, two inches), which is currently the No. 15 mark in the region.

Men’s Track Performer of the Week 

Chartt Miller, Iona

Sr., Perth, Australia

Senior Chartt Miller of the Iona College track & field program earned the winning time of 13:49.60 to edge out Bryce Stroede of Oakland by .30, both in section one of the 5,000 meter at the Virginia Challenge. The time is the best in the MAAC by nearly 13 seconds.

Women’s Field Performer of the Week

Jordan Wildermuth, Monmouth

Fr., Oak Ridge, NJ

At the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, VA, freshman Jordan Wildermuth placed second in the women’s shot put with a throw of 14.54m. Windermuth’s mark qualifies her for the U.S. Junior National Championships, to be held in California in late June.

Junior sprinter Sara Gardner continued to impress during her outdoor campaign for the Broncs last week, taking home a first-place finish in the 100M hurdles at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton. Gardner re-broke her own school record in the event, crossing the finish line with a time of 13.90.
