2017 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Field is Set

EDISON, NJ – Following the conclusion of the MAAC Men's Lacrosse regular season, the field for the 2017 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship has been determined.
Monmouth University claimed its first MAAC Men's Lacrosse Regular Season Championship and went a perfect 6-0 in conference play. The Hawks will have the number one overall seed in the championship next weekend and will take on fourth seeded Detroit Mercy. The Titans and the Siena Saints both finished 3-3 in the MAAC and earned the fourth seed by holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Saints. Game time is set for 4pm and will be broadcast on MAAC.TV. During the regular season matchup, the Hawks knocked off the Titans 11-8 in Detroit, MI back on April 15.
Canisius College earns the number two seed after going 4-2 in conference play. The Griffs will take on host institution Marist College in the second semifinal matchup at 7pm. The Griffs and the Red Foxes both finished 4-2 in the MAAC. Canisius holds the head-to-head tiebreaker with a 17-6 win over Marist back on March 18.
Marist College will serve as the host institution for this year's championship. The semifinals take place on Friday, March 5 with the 2017 MAAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Game taking place on Sunday, May 7 at 10am LIVE on ESPNU. Tickets can be purchased at maac.ticketleap.com
