Jacksonville Wins All Three Weekly Awards

Jacksonville University competed in the Sunshine State Invitational in Sarasota, FL over the weekend among some of the best competition the state has to offer. The Varsity 8 Boat finished with a time of 6:51.7 in the 2,000 meter race. The boat was led by Coxswain: Claire McLenna and rowers 8: Meg Coyle 7: Sarah Goodman 6: Veronika Stasaityte 5: Yailene Herrera 4: Delaney Plunkett 3: Stacey Price 2: Nicole Martin 1: Victoria Tkacz and 1: Victoria Tkacz.

Jacksonville’s 2^nd Varsity 8 Boat finished ahead of fellow MAAC team Stetson in the 2000 meter race with a time of 7:01.8. Emily Niermann was Coxswain for the boat and the rowers were, 8: Sara Miller 7: Yailene Herrera 6: Madison Boyer 5: Samatha Amadio 4: Jennifer Pavlik 3: Jessica Shipkowski 2: Tori West 1: Alex Pulliam.

Jacksonville’s Varsity 4 Boat also finished the 2000 meter race above Stetson with a time of 7:54.1. The Varsity 4 boat members included, Coxswain: Devonna Irby, 4: Maddie Black 3: Emily Woods
2: Katharina Dinsmore 1: Alexis Feraco.
