Reed Zak, Monmouth

Senior | 5-11 | LSM | Men's Lacrosse | Wyckoff, NJ

A long stick midfielder, Reed Zak played a pivotal role on defense as the Hawks won their ninth consecutive game with a 7-3 victory over Manhattan. Monmouth completed an unbeaten MAAC regular season schedule thanks to a program-record five caused turnovers by Zak. Monmouth ranks second in the nation in scoring defense at 7.20 goals allowed per game. Zak is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

Hailey Wagner, Marist

Sophomore | 5-9 | Midfield | Women's Lacrosse | Brookehaven, NY

Wagner broke her own Marist record for draw controls in a single-game by winning 21 when the Red Foxes took down Quinnipiac in the first round of the 2017 MAAC Championships on April 29. Her performance tied for the most draw controls in a single NCAA game this year and tied for second in an NCAA contest all time.

This year she has earned 127 draw controls, which shatters the old Marist single-season mark. Wagner has averaged 7.06 draw controls per game, which is on pace to set the new all-time MAAC record. She is second on the Red Foxes with 21 assists and 52 points so far this season and is the only student-athlete in the conference to be selected as both an Offensive (February 13) and Defensive (March 20) Player of the Week.

Wagner was named to the 2015-16 MAAC Academic Honor Roll and is majoring in biomedical sciences.
