Offensive Player of the Week
Erica Evans, Canisius
Jr., M, Peterborough, Ontario/St. Peter's Secondary
Junior Erica Evans collected six goals and two assists in an 18-9 win over Niagara on April 26, to give the Canisius its third consecutive (8-0) record in MAAC play. Evans won five draw controls, added three ground balls, and two caused turnovers. After her six goal performance, Evans took sole position of the NCAA lead for goals and ranks second in points (91). The six goals were a season-high for the midfielder, while her eight points tied a season-high.
Defensive Player of the Week
Katie FitzPatrick, Fairfield
Jr., M, Newtown Square, PA/Merion Mercy
Junior midfield Katie FitzPatrick recorded seven groundballs, two draw controls, and two caused turnovers in a 14-6 victory over Manhattan on April 26. She was part of a back line that held the Jaspers to just 15 shots and forced 19 total turnovers.
Rookie of the Week
Samantha Mehalick, Marist
Fr., A, North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick
Freshman Samantha Mehalick posted her seventh hat-trick of the season when Marist beat Siena, 19-6, on April 26 to clinch a host seed in the first round of the MAAC Championships. All six of her shots came on goal and she had a ground ball and a draw control on the defensive end. Mehalick is Marist's leading scorer this year.
