Drpich, Lumley & Jerla Earn ECAC Recognition

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2017 Division I Baseball Awards and All-ECAC selections.

2017 MAAC Player of the Year, Jake Lumley from Canisius College earned ECAC First Team honors. Lumley hit .358 with two home runs and 21 RBIs and led the conference with 77 hits. He was 15-for-19 on stolen bases attempts this season. The senior shortstop posted a .960 fielding percentage during the regular season.

All-MAAC First Team Selection, Joe Drpich from Siena College, was named to the ECAC First Team. Drpich leads MAAC with a .577 slugging percentage and is second in the MAAC with 10 home runs and 46 RBI.

2017 MAAC Pitcher of the Year, Charlie Jerla from Marist College earned ECAC Second Team honors. The southpaw posted a 9-1 record for the Red Foxes pitching to a 3.43 ERA. He struck out 62 hitters in 60.1 innings pitched during the regular season.
