Nick Margevicius, Rider University
Baseball – Junior
Rider University junior baseball player Nick Margevicius (North Royalton, OH/Saint Ignatius) was selected 198th overall in the seventh round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the San Diego Padres on Tuesday, June 13. Margevicius, a 6-5 starting pitcher, earned postseason accolades from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for the second straight year as he was tabbed First Team All-MAAC after landing on the Second Team as a sophomore. This season, the southpaw went 6-4 with a 2.89 ERA in 87.1 innings of work. Margevicius struck out 79 hitters and had a WHIP of 1.24 in 14 appearances (13 starts). He tossed two complete games during this spring, including his last home start in MAAC play against Monmouth, and he picked up his first career save during the final weekend of the regular season at Youngstown State.

Jessica Lee, Quinnipiac
Women's Outdoor Track & Field – Junior
Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field junior standout Jessica Lee (Montgomery, New Jersey) saw her season come to an end as she placed 39th in the 100m hurdles at the NCAA East Regional held at the University of Kentucky. Lee, who became just the third Bobcat to compete in an NCAA Regional event and the first-ever hurdler, concludes her 2016-17 season which stands as one of the best-ever in program history.
