Amorosi & Przybocki Earn MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week Honors
Chris Amorosi, Siena
Senior | Baseball | Schenectady, NY
Chris Amorosi made 12 appearances (11 starts) this past season. He had a 1-3 overall record in 50.2 innings pitched. He was fourth on the team with 27 strikeouts and walked just 15 batters. The senior held batters to a .270 average against him, the lowest on the team. His 4.80 ERA is best among Siena starters this season.
In the classroom, Amorosi is a three-time MAAC All-Academic team selection. He boasts a 3.55 cumulative grade point average in marketing, including a 3.88 GPA for the spring semester. Amorosi is also a SAAC representative that gives student-athletes an opportunity to generate a voice within Siena Athletics, to discuss issues relating to the wellbeing of student-athletes and to solicit student-athlete's responses to proposed legislation.
Meredith Przybocki, Saint Peter's
Senior | Track & Field/Volleyball | Pine Bush, NY
Meredith Przybocki graduated from Saint Peter's University Summa Cum Laude and made the Dean's List every semester during her collegiate career. It was announced on Tuesday, June 27, that the Pine Bush, NY native was nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year.
During her time in Jersey City, NJ, Przybocki was a two-sport athlete. She was a member of the Peacocks' Track & Field team and Volleyball team. Przybocki was named the 2017 Saint Peter's University Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and NJAIAW Woman of the Year for her efforts in academics and athletics.
