MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor Named to WBCA Executive Committee
Longtime WBCA board member, MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor, was named to the WBCA Executive Committee, as announced by the WBCA this afternoon. Ensor was recently reappointed to serve as the CCA representative for a third term, beginning July 1, 2017 and ending June 30, 2020.
The board filled two vacancies on its executive committee created by Thomaskutty's elevation to vice president and Hurlbut's departure. NCAA Division II director Chris Kielsmeier, head coach at Wayne State University, Nebraska, takes Thomaskutty's place as the NCAA Division II/III at-large director on the committee; and longtime board member Rich Ensor, commissioner of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, replaces Hurlbut as the athletic administrator on the committee.
The WBCA Board of Directors, which manages the business and affairs of the association, is composed of 24 voting members, as well as additional nonvoting members who provide technical or other advice and assistance to the voting members. The board's executive committee, which is composed of the association's officers and additional at-large board members, exercises the authority of the board in the management of the WBCA's affairs during intervals between board meetings and supervises the association's executive director.
Ensor was awarded the WBCA's highest honor, the 2015 WBCA President's Award, given by our then WBCA President Sue Semrau. He also received the WBCA Administrator of the Year Award in 2015 and 2016.
