Taylor and Matheis Named Student-Athletes of the Week
Matthew Taylor
Quinnipiac University
Men’s Soccer
Matthew Taylor is a junior Midfielder for the Bobcats. On September 2nd, Taylor scored the Bobcats' first goal of the season in the fourth minute of a 1-0 win over Saint Joseph's. In 2016, Taylor started 16 out of the 19 games he played in and also earned All-MAAC Academic Honor.
Nicole Matheis
Niagara University
Volleyball
Nicole Matheis is a senior volleyball player for Niagara University and has started all four seasons for the Purple Eagles. This season, she leads NU in kills and points, and is third in digs. Matheis has been named to two all-tournament teams – (Pioneer Classic and Hartford Invitational). She was named to the 2016 All-MAAC Second Team and the 2014 MAAC All-Rookie Team. Matheis, who is a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team honoree, will graduate with a degree in Economics.
