Monmouth Sweeps Weekly Field Hockey Awards
Offensive Player of the Week
Mallory Kusakavitch, Monmouth

Senior Mallory Kusakavitch scored twice to help the 25th ranked Monmouth field hockey team earn a 4-1 victory over Drexel to begin a two-win weekend. The forward opened the scoring in the 29th minute, deflecting in a shot off a corner to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Kusakavitch recorded her second goal of the day which put the Hawks up again by two in the 54th minute, capping off a fast break with a reverse stick goal to register her first career multi-goal game.
Defensive Player of the Week
Georgia Garden Bachop, Monmouth
Jr., F, Dunedin, New Zealand/Queen Margaret
Georgia Garden Bachop helped a defensive unit limit Drexel and Indiana to a combined 14 shots, five of which reaching cage, while securing the Hawks' second victory over the weekend. The junior connected on her fifth goal of the year with 53 second left in the first overtime to help Monmouth, winners of five straight, earn the program's second win over a Big Ten opponent. The third-year Hawk now has two career game-winning goals.
Rookie of the Week
Tamar Klinkhammer, Monmouth
Fr., D, Laren, Netherlands/Montessorischool
Freshman Tamar Klinkhammer played every minute of the 25th-ranked Hawks' wins over Drexel and Indiana. The rookie accounted for numerous block tackles, especially late in the second half and in overtime in MU's come-from-behind victory over Indiana. Klinkhamer and the Hawks' defense only allowed 14 shots in nearly 155 minutes of play, with five attempts getting through to cage.
