Mayda Garcia posted double-doubles in all three matches for Fairfield in the Rambler Challenge. In addition to her team-leading 3.29 kills per set and 3.14 digs per frame, Garcia landed two service aces, and was a part of six blocks in 14 sets of action.

Rylee Hunt, Niagara

Rylee Hunt averaged a team-leading 5.20 digs per set in three matches at the Pioneer Classic. Hunt had a match-leading 21 digs in the sweep of Eastern Illinois on Friday, September 1. Hunt followed with 17 digs and a season-high six assists against Denver, and she led the match with 14 digs against UC Davis on Saturday, September 2. Hunt, who lead the team with four aces, was named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
Rookie of the Week
Claire Leonard, Canisius

Claire Leonard led Canisius in kills per set in just her second collegiate tournament this past weekend. Leonard, posted 3.43 kills per set through four matches to go along with a .209 hitting percentage. She had her weekend-high come in a win against Coppin State, posting 16 kills, while she recorded double-figures two more times, with 11 kills against Robert Morris and 15 vs. Duquesne. She capped the weekend with six kills against Northern Kentucky. The freshman also notched 11 total digs and three blocks.
