Korona & Edwards Earn Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

Volleyball
Korona is a middle blocker for the Red Foxes’ volleyball team. The San Antonio, TX native is 6'2 and is currently in her senior year. Korona was named to the Volley In The Valley/Rose Hill Classic All-Tournament Team on Sept. 2 after tallying 14 kills and 13 total blocks in two matches for Marist. She is now 10th all-time in Marist history with 221 career blocks and is the second in MAAC averaging 1.11 blocks per set. Her 99 total blocks during the 2016 season was the eighth highest single season total by a Red Fox. A communications major, Korona has been selected to the MAAC All-Academic Team the last two years. She is the Marist Center For Student-Athlete Enhancement Student-Athlete of the Month for September.
Bobby Edwards

Men's Soccer
Bobby Edwards is from Parsippany, NJ and is currently the goalkeeper for the Monmouth’s Men’s Soccer Team. The 6’6 230lbs junior, earned his third shutout of the season at #19 West Virginia on Monday. Edwards made three saves, helping the Hawks to a 0-0 tie against a top-20 nationally ranked program. He is currently tied for 3rd in the NCAA with the three shutouts, and the only goal he's given up in four games came on a penalty kick. He ranks 11th nationally with a .237 goals against average.
