Player of the Week
Kahlil Dukes, Niagara

Kahlil Dukes earns his second MAAC Player of the Week honor this season. The guard averaged a team-high 23.0 points per game, while shooting 63.6 percent from the field and 60.0 percent from the three-point line in a (2-0) week for Niagara. Dukes led all scorers with a game-high 25 points in the win over Monmouth on Friday. He converted three three-pointers and dished out three assists. In the victory over Saint Peter’s on Sunday, Dukes scored 21 points, knocked down three treys, and had a team-high three assists. He averaged 3.0 assists per game and had a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio in the two games.
Rookie of the Week
Takal Molson, Canisius

Takal Molson takes home the MAAC Rookie of the Week award for the second time in the last three weeks. The freshman averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game last week as the Golden Griffins defeated Saint Peter’s and Monmouth at home. In the win over the Peacocks, Molson scored a game-high 23 points, and grabbed four rebounds. Coupled with his 21-point effort at Siena on January 7, Molson became the first Canisius freshman in program history to record back-to-back 20-point games in MAAC action. In the win over Monmouth on Sunday, the Buffalo native posted 18 points to go with six boards, while matching a career-high five assists. For the week, he shot 52.2 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from three-point range, and 70.6 percent from the free-throw line, which included an 11-of-16 effort against the Hawks.
