Wolff & Malko Claim Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

Emily Wolff, who won the 5000 meters at the MAAC Indoor Championships in 2016 before redshirting during track season last year, returned to action in fine form by running a personal-best 5:03.06, trimming five seconds off her previous best, at the Great Dane Classic at Ocean Breeze Park on Saturday. Wolff finished sixth out of 61 competitors overall in the race, but third of 57 among collegiate runners. Wolff was a 2016-17 CoSIDA Cross Country/Track & Field Academic All-District 1 First Team selection, and was a MAAC All-Academic selection as both a sophomore and junior.

Men’s Indoor Track & Field
Junior Russell Malko has been impressive through the early stages of the 2017-18 indoor track and field season. Most recently, he finished second in the 400m at the Saint Thomas Aquinas College Spartan Invite. Malko posted an IC4A-qualifying time of 49.14. This year, he also has an IC4A-qualifying time in the 500m as well. He has also once been honored as the MAAC Men's Track Performer of the Week once this year.
