Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Georgeanne Zimmerman, Marist
Fr., Merrick, NY/Sanford H. Calhoun
Georgeanne Zimmerman won the 100 breast (1:07.80), 200 breast (2:27.24), and 200 IM (2:12.03) against Binghamton. The freshman then added wins against Boston College in the 100 breast (1:07.30), 200 breast (2:26.73), and 200 IM (2:11.77).
Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Evan Nilsson, Marist
So., Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai
Evan Nilsson won all six events he swam in last week. He won the 1,000 free (9:34.27), 100 back (52.63), and 200 back (1:52.51) at Binghamton. The New York native added a personal best time against Boston College in the 1,000 free (9.27.78), and picked up wins in the 100 back and 200 back with times of 52.21 and 1:51.46 respectively.
Women’s Diver of the Week
Esabelle Gervasio, Marist
Fr., Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna
Esabelle Gervasio earned a win in the 1-meter dive against Binghamton with a score of 241.95 and recorded a second place finish in the 3-meter dive with a score of 245.55. Against Boston College, Gervasio won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with scores of 251.02 and 259.35 respectively.
Men’s Diver of the Week
Peter Gallino, Marist
Sr., Watertown, CT/Sacred Heart High School
Peter Gallino takes home his third MAAC Men’s Diver of the Week Award this season. Gallino won the 1-meter (279.6) and 3-meter (307.88) at Binghamton last Thursday. He also won the 1-meter and 3-meter dives against Boston College on Friday with scores of 291.83 and 317.78 respectively
