Quinnipiac's Fay & Iona's Abiola Earn MAAC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards

Jen Fay scored a career-high 32 points and added 10 rebounds as Quinnipiac defeated Manhattan on Sunday. The 32-point performance matched the single-game-high for points in the MAAC this season. The forward shot 10-of-17 from the field and recorded her second double-double of the season. Fay began the week with 11 points and  six rebounds in a win over Siena. She shot 4-of-5 from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the arc in 19 minutes of play. For the week, Fay averaged 21.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game.  
 
Rookie of the Week
Toyosi Abiola, Iona
Fr., G, London, England/City of London Academy
 
Toyosi Abiola earns the MAAC Rookie of the Week honor for a league-high fifth time this season. The guard scored 17 points and made a career-high five threes against Niagara. She played 39 minutes and shot 5-of-11 from the floor, and 5-of-9 from long range. Abiola pulled down four rebounds and dished out two assists.
