Fisher & Castaneda Named Student-Athletes of the Week

Siena College
Fisher has emerged as a valued leader both on and off the court this season for the Saints. In the classroom, he possesses a 3.08 cumulative GPA while majoring in Management, and was tabbed Siena College's Leo Dufort Student Athlete of the Month for December. Additionally, he serves as men's basketball's representative on Siena's Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Fisher has also enjoyed a breakout junior season on the court where he ranks ninth in the MAAC in blocks (0.9), while also leading the Saints in rebounding (5.1). He's averaged 7.1 points while shooting 51% from the field, and through the first seven games of the calendar year has averaged 11.6 points.

Swimming & Diving
Castaneda has been the top performer for the women’s swim team this season, leading the team in freestyle sprint races. Last week against St. Francis Brooklyn and Queens College, Castaneda earned victories in the 100 and 200 freestyle races.
