14 MAAC Swimming & Diving Programs Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

NORFOLK, VA – 14 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Swimming & Diving programs were named Scholar All-America teams by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the fall 2017 semester.
 
For a team to be honored, it must have a minimum 3.0-grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.
 
Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Manhattan College, Marist College, and Rider University men’s and women’s programs received Scholar All-America team honors. Bryant University men and Siena College women, also received Scholar All-America recognition.  

Iona's women's program posted a 3.65 team GPA, the highest among all MAAC teams and the eighth-highest among all teams nationwide that received Scholar All-America honors. Manhattan men's program finished the fall semester with a 3.41 team GPA, which was the best among MAAC men's swimming & diving programs and tied for the 10th-highest among all teams to receive honors.
