Fabian & Kasibabu Claim Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

Women’s Rowing
The Pittsburgh, PA native has competed in all nine regattas during the 2016-17 season. Fabian has helped the varsity eight boat to two first place finishes and assisted the second varsity eight to the semifinals for the first time in program history. She is in her sophomore year and as a Criminal Justice and Political Science major, holds a 3.86 GPA in the classroom.
Jonathan Kasibabu
Men’s Basketball
Fairfield University
An International Business major with a cumulative GPA over 3.0, Jonathan Kasibabu led Fairfield Men’s Basketball in the paint in two contests this past week. The junior averaged 11.5 points per game, shooting a perfect 7-for-7 from the field with one three-pointer, and hauled in 4.5 rebounds per contest against MAAC opponents Rider and Quinnipiac.
Entering the week, Kasibabu ranks fourth on the Stags this season with 7.9 points per outing, shooting a team-best 63.3% from the floor. The junior is also the team leader with 5.0 rebounds per game and 21 total blocked shots. He is one of two Stags to have started all 20 games to date this season.
