Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Lisa Fajardo, Manhattan
Jr., Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney
Fajardo finished the 3,000-meter race with a time of 9:39.00, the fastest time in the conference this year for the event. Fajardo also ran in the distance medley relay team that placed fourth with a time of 11:50.06
Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Chartt Miller, Iona
Gr., Perth, Australia/Ocean Reef
Miller competed in the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic this past Saturday. The Australian native ran the fastest mile in the MAAC to date with a time of 4:03.83.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Charlene Pohl, Manhattan
Sr., Bisingen, Germany/Gymnasium Balingen
Pohl qualified for the ECAC Championships with her performance in the long jump (5.7-meters) at the Columbia Challenge. The senior also competed in the pentathlon where she took fifth place. She took second in the 60-meter hurdles (9.11) and 800-meter run (2:28.82).
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Corey Murphy, Monmouth
Sr., Yaphank, NY/Longwood
Murphy finished as the top collegiate finisher in the shot put at the Penn State National Invitational with a throw of 18.50-meters. This marks the third MAAC Men’s Field Performer of the Week Award for the senior.
