2018 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships Preview
Runners to Watch
EDISON, NJ- The 2018 MAAC Men's & Women's Cross Country Championships are hosted for the first time by Siena College in Loudonville, NY at The Crossing of Colonie course. On the men's side Iona College looks to win their 28th consecutive MAAC Championship Title, while on the women's side the Gaels look for a three-peat.
The men’s 8K race begins at 11:00am and the women’s 6K race starts at noon.
The Iona men’s cross country team seeks its 28th consecutive championship. Iona’s Ehab El- Sandali took home the MAAC Most Outstanding Rookie award at the MAAC Cross Country championships last year.
On the women’s side, Iona won the 2017 MAAC Women’s Cross Country Championship, Iona’s Egle Morenaite took home both awards MAAC outstanding runner and MAAC most outstanding rookie. The Gaels seeks its 13th championship in program history.
