MAAC Men’s Soccer Teams Honored by United Soccer Coaches
Edison, NJ – The United Soccer Coaches announced its 2017-18 College Team Academic Award winners on Wednesday, November 28.
A total of 311 men’s teams earned the Team Academic Award. To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible.
Six MAAC Men’s teams – Iona College, Marist College, Monmouth University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, and Siena College – were named Team Academic Award winners for the 2017-18 academic year.
Iona College earned the program’s sixth all-time award with an overall grade point average of 3.17.
Marist College earned the program’s seventh all-time award and the College’s fourth in a row with an overall grade point average of 3.26.
Monmouth University received the award for the second year in a row with a grade point average of 3.03, marking the seventh time the Hawks have made the list.
Quinnipiac University was named to the list for the program’s eighth time with a grade point average of 3.01.
The 2018 MAAC-Champion Rider University Broncs received the award for the sixth consecutive year with a grade point average of 3.25. This marked the ninth time in program history the Broncs have made the list.
Siena College made the list for the program’s sixth time and second in a row with a grade point average of 3.12.
