MAAC Announces Full ESPN Women’s Basketball Broadcast Schedule

EDISON, NJ – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today that 98 women’s basketball games will be featured on the ESPN network during the upcoming 2018-19 season culminating with the 2019 MAAC Women’s Basketball Championship Game on ESPNU on March 11 at 2:30 p.m. at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. announces the ESPN and Women’s Basketball schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

The women’s season begins Tuesday, November 6 at 6 p.m. with three ESPN3 school-produced games including Manhattan College versus LIU Brooklyn, Monmouth University versus Bucknell, and Rider University versus Princeton all starting at 6 p.m. in Tuesday’s regular season openers.

There will be 195 total MAAC men’s (97) and women’s games (98) broadcast on ESPN platforms during the 2018-19 season.

“The MAAC membership continues to see growth in its national distribution of college basketball games on ESPN,” noted Commissioner Rich Ensor. “In year two of the conference’s eight-year agreement with ESPN a record total of 195 MAAC basketball contests will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU and ESPN+.”

ESPN+ is the new multi-sport, direct-to-consumer video service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment and ESPN.

The weekend of November 9-11, the remainder of the league opens play. Friday, November 9, Iona College hosts St. John’s on EPSN3 at 5:30 p.m. in their home-opener and Canisius College will host Miami (Ohio) at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.  Continuing the Friday action, Fairfield University travels to LIU Brooklyn November 13 for a 5 p.m. tip-off on ESPN3. Marist College will travel to Boston on November 16 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

In December, Siena College tips off its ESPN games when the Saints play Florida Atlantic on December 1 at 1 p.m. Quinnipiac University is on the road at Richmond December 19th on ESPN+, game time to be determined.
