Quinnipiac's Miller, and Rider's Runyon & Sher Collect MAAC Volleyball Weekly Honors
Player of the Week
Kat Miller, Quinnipiac
Sr., Collegeville, PA/ Villa Maria Academy
Miller led the Bobcats over the weekend with two double-digit kill matches. She recorded 20 kills and 20 digs, hitting .372, against Marist. In the 3-1 win against Siena, Miller led the team with a season-high 25 kills and 13 digs. She has recorded a double-double in five consecutive matches and has 14 on the season.
Libero of the Week
Rachelle Runyon, Rider
Jr., Aliso Viejo, CA/Aliso Niguel
Runyon was outstanding on the back line for the Broncs in a pair of victories last week. She averaged 6.44 digs per set and had a serve receive percentage of .929 as Rider defeated Manhattan and Iona in MAAC play. She opened the week with 27 digs in a four-set win against the Jaspers and she closed it with a match-high 31 digs in a five-set victory versus Iona. She has registered 30 or more digs in a match twice this season and has recorded 20 or more in digs in five or her last six appearances.
Rookie of the Week
Anilee Sher, Rider
Fr., Poughkeepsie, NY/ Spackenkill
Freshman setter Anilee Sher continued her strong play last week by recording a pair of double-doubles as Rider went 2-0 in MAAC play at home. For the week, Sher averaged 9.89 assists per set, 3.89 digs per set, 0.56 service aces per set and 0.44 blocks per set. Sher averaged over 45 assists and 17 digs in victories against Iona and Manhattan. In a five-set victory versus the Gaels, she recorded 51 assists, a career-high 18 digs, four block assists, three service aces and a kill. In a 3-1 triumph against the Jaspers, Sher had 38 assists and 17 digs. She has racked up 16 doubles-doubles this season.
