Commissioner’s Cup Update
EDISON, NJ - Through the conclusion of the first five Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championships, Iona College is the leader of the Pepsi Zero MAAC Commissioner's Cup standings.
Iona has 52.5 points, after winning both the men's and women's cross country championships as well as the volleyball championship, and with a fifth place finish in men's soccer. Marist holds the second place spot with 48.5 points, Rider comes in third place with 47.5 points, and Monmouth at the fourth place spot with 46 points.
The MAAC Pepsi Zero Commissioner's Cup is awarded annually as a symbol of overall excellence in athletics in the 24 championships conducted within the MAAC. Each institution is scored in all regular seasons and championships that it fields a varsity team. Only the scores from Men's & Women's Basketball, plus the top six men's and top six women's scores are used to determine an institution's total points.
