Detroit Mercy Men’s Lacrosse Releases 2019 Schedule
DETROIT (12/12/2018) -- The University of Detroit Mercy men's lacrosse team had a record-breaking season last year and will look to raise the bar even more as the Titans announced their 2019 schedule today.
Detroit Mercy will have a 14-game slate with four at home starting with Jacksonville as the Titans host the Dolphins on Feb. 2, tentatively at Total Sports Complex in Washington Township, Michigan.
February will have the red, white and blue start a six-game road trip as they battle nationally-ranked teams in Notre Dame (Feb. 16) and Marquette (Feb. 23).
March will have Detroit Mercy visit Bellarmine (March 2) and Air Force (March 6) and start MAAC play against one of the newest Division I programs Saint Bonaventure (March 9) before traveling to Quinnipiac (March 16). The Titans will be back at home to take on Monmouth on March 23 before heading to Marist the following week.
A two-game homestand begins April with Manhattan in town on April 6 and Jesuit-rival Canisius on April 13 in a rematch of the thrilling 2018 MAAC Championship game. The regular season will conclude with games at Siena (Apr. 20), at Cleveland State and another new DI program in Utah (Apr. 27).
The MAAC Championship will be held from May 2-4 with a berth to the NCAA Tournament on the line at a place to be determined.
The Titans are coming off a record campaign as they set a school record with nine overall wins and five conference victories en route to finishing second in the MAAC in the regular season advancing to the MAAC title game.
