FULL SCHEDULE

The Canisius women's lacrosse has released its 2019 schedule, head coach Allison Daley announced Wednesday.

The 17-game schedule is highlighted by trips to South Bend, Ind., to face off against Notre Dame, Harrisonburg, Va., to play defending NCAA champion James Madison, and a home contest against seven-time national champion Northwestern.

"We have designed a very challenging non-conference schedule that we feel will help prepare us for a competitive conference season," Daley noted. "We are grateful for the opportunity to play against some top competition, including the reigning National Champions."

The Golden Griffins start the season with back-to-back road games at Notre Dame Feb. 10, followed by Robert Morris (Feb. 20). Canisius will play its first home game against Northwestern (Feb. 25), before hitting the road for three straight games to start the month of March.

The Blue and Gold face James Madison (March 1), followed by George Mason (March 3) in Fairfax, Va., before finishing the road swing at Ivy League contender Yale (March 10). Canisius will then return home for one game against Marquette (March 15), before traveling to Bryant (March 20).

The Griffs open MAAC play at Manhattan on (March 22) and host Siena (March 27) for their first home league contest of the season. A rematch of the 2018 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship game will occur April 20, when Canisius travels to Fairfield for a midday contest. The annual "Battle of the Bridge" matchup versus long-time rival Niagara will be held at Niagara Field on April 17.

Canisius closes out its regular season schedule April 24 at home vs. Binghamton.

The 2019 MAAC Championship will take place April 27 through May 4, hosted by the MAAC regular season champion.
