Rider's Vaughn & Allen Take Home MAAC Men's Basketball Weekly Awards
Player of the Week
Dimencio Vaughn, Rider

Dimencio Vaughn averaged a double-double with 25.5 points and 10.0 rebounds, while adding 2.5 blocks, and 2.5 steals per game in a (2-0) week for Rider. He began the week with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor and 7-of-10 shooting from the free-throw line, to go along with eight rebounds, three blocks, and three steals against Manhattan on Thursday. At Marist, Vaughn scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half as Rider erased a 21-point deficit with 10:20 to go in the game. He scored 15 points in a decisive 28-4 run to end the game. Half of his 20 rebounds on the week came on the offensive glass. For the season, Vaughn is now averaging a team-best 15.3 points, while grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 50.2 percent from the floor and 38.6 percent from long range.
Rookie of the Week
Jordan Allen, Rider

Jordan Allen averaged 15.5 points per game in Rider’s (2-0) week. He scored 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting against Manhattan, knocking down 3-of-7 three-point field-goal attempts. He then scored all 11 of his points in the second half as Rider erased a 21-point second-half deficit. For the year, Allen is now averaging 13.5 points, while shooting a team-best 39.4 percent from long range.
