Morgan Altman, Canisius

Morgan Altman hit .444 (4-9) with one double, one triple, and one RBI in three games for Canisius this past weekend. Altman went 3-3 with a double and a RBI in the Golden Griffins’ 4-2 win over Robert Morris on Sunday, February 11.
Pitcher of the Week
Sierra Bertrand, Niagara

Sierra Bertrand went 1-1 during the Cleveland State Dome Invitational. She picked up her first win of the season against Cleveland State on February 9, striking out five batters in 5.0 innings pitched. Against Robert Morris on February 10, Bertrand picked up a save, striking out two batters in 1.0 innings pitched. Against Bowling Green on February 10, she punched out three in 2.0 innings pitched. She finished the weekend with a 3.50 ERA in 8.0 innings of work.
Rookie of the Week
Karsen Cotton, Niagara
Fr., P, Depew, NY/Depew
Karsen Cotton made three appearances in the Purple Eagles’ four games at the Cleveland State Dome Invitational. She earned her first collegiate win in Niagara’s 3-0 shutout win over Robert Morris on February 10. She struck out five batters in 6.0 innings pitched and allowed five hits. She did not surrender a run in 7.2 innings pitched.
