Frost & Casolo Named Student-Athletes of the Week

In his junior season with the Quinnipiac Men’s Lacrosse team, Frost had two goals in Quinnipiac’s big 12-11 overtime win over No. 17 Brown on Saturday, the program’s first-ever win in the brand-new Quinnipiac Lacrosse Stadium. It was the second two-goal game of the season for Frost, who was a member of the MAAC All-Academic team and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll during the 2016-17 academic year as a finance major at Quinnipiac. His second goal was a key one, tying the score up 10-10 in the fourth quarter after Brown scored three straight goals to start the fourth and take a 10-9 lead.

Women’s Swimming & Diving
During the 2018 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, Casolo broke Niagara’s record in the 50 Free. Not only did she break Niagara’s record, she then broke her own record in the finals, posting a time of 23.72. She finished fourth overall in that event.
On day three of the MAAC Championships, Casolo broke the 100 fly record, posting a time of 56.48 in prelims and breaking her own record again, with a time of 56.17 in the finals, earning her the bronze medal.
During the regular season, Casolo had the second best 100 butterfly time in the MAAC (57.47), the fourth-fastest 50 free time (24.28) and the fifth-best 100 free time (53.37).
Casolo is currently in her senior year and was named to the 2018 MAAC All-Academic Team.
