Shelby Barkley scored 25 goals over the course of the opening weekend for Virginia Military Institute. She tallied four goals against Washington & Jefferson Friday night, then logged 21 goals over four matches at the Laker Invitational hosted by Mercyhurst (six vs. Saint Francis (PA), six vs. La Salle, six vs. Gannon, three vs. Mercyhurst). The senior also totaled 20 drawn exclusions, eight steals, and 10 blocks over the five matches.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Katherine Campbell, Wagner
Fr., Goalkeeper, Regina, Saskatchewan/Dr. Martin Leboldus High School
 
Katherine Campbell recorded 19 saves and four steals en route to a (3-0) weekend for Wagner. The Seahawks earned wins over No. 21 Harvard, Bucknell, and George Washington with Campbell in net.
 
Rookie of the Week
Kelsey Snelgar, St. Francis Brooklyn
Fr., Utility, Auckland, New Zealand
 
Kelsey Snelgar registered 13 goals and 18 steals in three games for St. Francis Brooklyn. Snelgar recorded two goals in six steals in her collegiate debut against Mercyhurst on Friday. The freshman then notched six goals and six steals on Saturday against Gannon, and five goals and six steals versus Saint Francis (PA) on Sunday.
