Marist, Rider and Saint Peter’s to Compete at ECAC Swimming & Diving Championships
EDISON, NJ – Marist College, Rider University, and Saint Peter’s University swim & dive programs head to Piscataway, NJ to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Swimming & Diving Championships. The Championships are hosted by Rutgers University and span three days (Feb. 23-25).
At MAAC Championships:
- Marist freshman, Esabelle Gervasio took home 2018 MAAC Women’s Diving Rookie of the Meet.
- The Red Foxes finished in second place on the men’s and women’s side.
- Rider men won their seventh-straight MAAC Swimming & Diving Championship.
- Rider senior, Zack Molloy earned his third straight MAAC Men’s Most Outstanding Swimmer award. Molloy broke the 50 Free (19.66) and 100 Free (43.10) conference records and now hold all four free event records.
- The Broncs set new records in the men’s 200 Medley Relay (1:27.83), 800 Free Relay (6:30.52), 200 Free Relay (1:20.06), 100 Fly (Justin Carey, 47.55), and 100 Back (Justin Carey, 47.70).
- Rider’s Breanne Hatter earned MAAC Most Outstanding Diver and Dillon Walles received Men’s Diving Rookie of the Meet.
- Saint Peter’s finished fifth while the women placed 10th at the MAAC Championship.
