Quinnipiac's Fabbri & Rider's Hoskova Named CoSIDA Academic All-Region
EDISON, NJ - Quinnipiac University's Carly Fabbri and Rider University's Kamila Hoskova have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team.
Fabbri was named All-District in District 1 (CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI, VT) and Hoskova was named in District 2 (DC, DE, KY, MD, NJ, PA, WV).
Fabbri, who sports a 3.89 GPA while majoring in physician assistant at Quinnipiac, has started all 27 games this season for the Bobcats and averaged 8.6 points and 4.4 assists per game-shares the lead in the MAAC. Fabbri has also been a two-time All-MAAC Academic Team member.
Hoskova, who was named CoSIDA Academic All-District last season, is second on the Broncs in scoring at 14.9 ppg and 5.7 rpg, and third in assists at 2.0. Hoskova has a 3.86 GPA while majoring in Math and Economics. The Czech Republic native has also been a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team member.
The 2017-18 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in March.
