General Information:
The 2018 MAAC Basketball Championships take place March 1-5, at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.
 
Individual session passes, flex ticket packages and all-session passes may be purchased at the Times Union Center box office, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and online at www.timesunioncenter-albany.com.
 
MAAC College Fair
March 1 | 4:30-6:30 p.m. | Albany Capital Center
 
This year’s MAAC College Fair features a hands-on approach for prospective students, and their parents to gather more information on the college admissions process. Each attendee will be broken off into a 45-minute breakout session upon arrival, which allows for admissions representatives to instruct on topics such as the importance of a college visit, guidance in the application process, benefits to attending college fairs, and an overview on financial aid and scholarships. Upon completion of the breakout session, students and parents will also have the opportunity to engage with each MAAC institutions representatives to learn more about each specific school.
 
Attendees will be given a free ticket voucher to either the MAAC Men’s or Women’s Basketball Championship game on Monday, March 5. The voucher can be redeemed at the Times Union Center box office.

eSports Expo at MAAC Fan Fest
March 1 | 3-11 p.m. | Albany Capital Center 

The exhibition is a day-long event designed to educate college sports and recreation administrators about the rapidly expanding intercollegiate eSports opportunities for their institutions. The event will feature a series of panel discussions on eSports followed by a four-team eSports tournament on Riot Games’ League of Legends featuring ECAC and MAAC member schools.
 
2018 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Postseason Awards Show
March 2 | 10 a.m.-12 p.m. | Albany Capital Center | ESPN3
The 2018 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Postseason Awards Show takes place on Friday, March 2, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Albany Capital Center and airs live on ESPN3. The MAAC will announce the following major awards for both men’s and women’s basketball: Rookie of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Player of the Year, and The Rock Coach of the Year. In addition, the Regular Season Championships trophies will be presented.

MAAC Band Jam
March 2 | 12-1:00 p.m. | Times Union Center Atrium
 
Bands from eight MAAC institutions will showcase their skills during the 2018 Ban Jam. Bands from Canisius, Fairfield, Iona, Manhattan, Marist, Monmouth, Quinnipiac, and Siena will perform in the brand-new Times Union Center Atrium.
 
Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest
March 2 | 4-6:30 p.m. | Albany Capital Center
 
The popular fan festival will offer attendees the opportunity to sample gourmet mac-n-cheese dishes from a dozen Albany-area restaurants, as well as numerous craft beer and wine options from regional breweries and wineries.
 
Tickets for the Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest are on-sale now at www.albanyfanfest.com. Tickets are $8 and entitle guests to five samples of mac-n-cheese. Tasting tickets will also be available at the door (cash only).
 
The first 200 guests to purchase tickets online to the Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest will receive a free ticket to the Siena men’s opening round tournament game at the Times Union Center (date and time to be determined at the conclusion of the regular season).
 
Craft beer tasting tickets will be $5 for three samples and will be available exclusively at the event (must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID).
 
Participating restaurants at the Hannaford MAAC-n-Cheese Fest include the following: Ama Cocina; Allie B’s; Angelo’s 677 Prime; City Beer Hall; Cider Belly; Excelsior Pub; Parish Public House; Philly Bar and Lounge; Public House 42; Tala; Wellington’s; and Wolff’s Biergarten.
 
Bounce to the Arena
March 3 | 10:30 a.m. | Palace Theatre to the Times Union Center
 
Participants will start off bouncing basketballs at the Palace Theater and continue on dribbling as they walk to the Times Union Center. Groups of dribblers will be joined by bands, mascots, cheer and dance squads from the MAAC institutions.
 
I LOVE NEW YORK 3-on-3 MAAC Corporate Basketball Challenge
 
The inaugural tournament celebrates the return of the 2018 MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships to downtown Albany. The tournament-style competition features 14 local companies who will be competing for the opportunity to take center court during the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships at the Times Union Center.
