Tomayko & Gonzales Claim Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

Sophomore diver Meg Tomayko had a strong showing for Rider at the ECAC Open Championships hosted by Rutgers and contested at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center last week. Tomayko opened the three-day event with a sixth-place finish in the 3M diving event with a score of 229.10 in the finals and she followed that up with a fourth-place finish in the 1M diving event thanks to posting a score of 223.65 in the finals.

Freshman Elijah Gonzales led Saint Peter's to two wins in the final week of the regular season. On Friday at Quinnipiac, Gonzales scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed five rebounds leading to a 52-43 victory. In Sunday's 65-48 win against Siena, Gonzales recorded his first career double-double scoring 10 points and handing out 10 assists.
