Men’s Golfer of the Week
Pudge Williams, Siena

Williams led the Saints with rounds of 74, 74, and 72, respectively, at the season opening Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona. Williams finished at +4 for the tournament, highlighted by an even par final round featuring a career-low score of 72 for the freshman. Williams parred 28 holes and birdied 10 others during the 54-hole event, which was highlighted by an eagle on the Par-5 11th hole during the Second Round of competition.
Women’s Golfer of the Week
Alexandra Sazhin, Quinnipiac

Competing at the largest collegiate golf tournament of the season, the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic, sophomore Alexandra Sazhin moved up nine spots on the final round to finish tied for 13th place out of 218 golfers. Sazhin shot a 218 to break the program record for a 54-hole tournament, which was previously set by Luciana Tobia-Palza (La Paz, Bolivia) with a 225 at the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. Her 11 birdies for the tournament give her 37 for the year, as she continues to chase Tobia-Palza's single-season record of 44 during the 2017-18 season, which also stands as Quinnipiac's freshman record. Sazhin also shot a career best 71 for the second round, which is also the second sub-par round of the season for the Bobcats. Sazhin also shot a 74 a for the first round for a 145 over the first two days for the second-best 36-hole score in Quinnipiac history.
