Niagara's Rampado & Iona's Abiola Named MAAC Women's Basketball Weekly Award Winners

Victoria Rampado claims her fourth MAAC Player of the Week honor this season. The forward recorded her 10
th double-double of the season against Canisius on Thursday, as she led the Purple Eagles with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Against Saint Peter's on Saturday, Rampado paced Niagara with 20 points, nine rebounds, and recorded three assists. On the week, she averaged 20.0 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game. She shot a perfect 14-of-14 from the free-throw line.
Rookie of the Week
Toyosi Abiola, Iona

Toyosi Abiola earns her league-leading eighth MAAC Rookie of the Week award, which are the most since Marist’s Rebekah Hand claimed eight last season. Abiola averaged 15.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game in two games for Iona this past week. Abiola registered her fourth 20-plus point game against Marist on Thursday night, It was her first 20-plus point game since the MAAC home-opener against Canisius on January 2. At Quinnipiac on Sunday, the freshman netted 11 points in addition to two steals.
