Player of the Week
Erin Larsen, Quinnipiac
Jr., Outfielder, Kissimmee, FL/Bishop Moore Catholic
Larsen batted .500 in six games for the Bobcats, with eight hits including a home run, a triple a double and seven RBI's. Larsen also drew six walks while totaling a .609 on-base percentage and an .875 slugging percentage.
Pitcher Player of the Week
Megan Beiermeister, Marist
Jr., Pitcher, Kinnelon, NJ/Kinnelon
Beiermeister went 2-0 with an ERA of 0.50 in 14 innings this past weekend (two complete games). The junior struck out 12 and allowed eight hits as the opposition batted just .163 against her. Beiermeister pitched a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 7-0 triumph against Santa Clara on March 9. Beiermeister followed up by allowing only five hits in a 6-1 triumph against Santa on March 11, as she needed just 93 pitches to toss a complete game.
Rookie of the Week
Daniela Chiorazzi, Manhattan
Fr., Catcher, Stony Point, NY/North Rockland
The first-year Jasper hit .273 over seven games last week and drove in nine runs for Manhattan. Chiorazzi had 4 RBI against Stetson on March nine and a day later had three against Holy Cross. Chiorazzi hit homers against UT Martin (3/9) and Stetson.
