Marist College fell at St. John’s University 68-47 in the first round of the Women’s NIT. The Red Storm started the game on a 7-0 run and did not let Marist get comfortable for the rest of the game. St. John’s forced 19 turnovers from Marist and scored 24 points off those turnovers. St. John’s moves onto the round of 32 in the WNIT and will find out who its opponent is tomorrow.
Marist Notes:
• Finished the year at 20-14—13th time with 20 wins under head coach Brian Giorgis
• Started 4-of-15 from the field—St. John’s started 9-of-19
• Maura Fitzpatrick and Rebekah Hand were in double figures
• Fitzpatrick led all scorers with 20 points—one off her season-high.
• Hand finished with 10 points and a team-high four assists.

• Moves on to play the winner of Albany and Penn
• Balanced scoring attack, with five players in double figures—four had 12 points.
• Andrayah Adams led the Red Storm with 14 points off the bench on 5-of-10 shooting.
• Imani Littleton had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
