No. 1 seed Quinnipiac University (25-5) punched its ticket to the semifinals with an 83-44 win over No. 9 Monmouth University (10-21) in the first quarterfinal matchup on Friday afternoon. Senior guard Carly Fabbri had 19 points to lead all scorers and a trio of Bobcats who were in double figures.
 
The Bobcats will face winner of No 4 Fairfield University and No. 5 Rider University on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. on ESPN3.

Quinnipiac Notes:
• The 39-point win by Quinnipiac was the largest by the Bobcats since they joined the MAAC in postseason play.
• The last team to win by 35-plus points was Marist against Loyola (MD) 81-27 in the quarterfinals of the 2009 Championship.
• Junior forward Paula Strautmane recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds (seventh of career).
• Quinnipiac extends its win streak to 20 games—last loss was at Michigan State (74-55, Dec. 18)
• Sophomore forward Jaden Ward had 10 points to complete the trio in double figures. It was Ward’s fourth game of 10-plus points.
• Quinnipiac had 24 points off 21 Monmouth turnovers

Monmouth Notes:
• For the second-straight game, senior guard Rhaiah Spooner-Knight led the Hawks in scoring; she had 11.
• Sophomore forward Taylor Nelson added eight points for the Hawks.
• Just the second time in the last nine games that Monmouth was held to below 40-percent shooting. Shot 31.5-percent in the game.
 
No. 2 Marist College – 84 | No. 7 Manhattan College - 60

No. 2 Marist College (19-12) advanced to semifinal Sunday with an 84-60 win over No. 7 Manhattan College (13-18). The Red Foxes shot 60-percent from the floor, 52-percent from three and had four players in double figures.
 
Marist will play the winner of No. 3 Siena College and No. 6 Niagara University on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN3
 
Marist Notes:
• The 24-point win was the largest for the Red Foxes since the 2014 Semifinals when Marist beat Niagara, 61-36.
• The Red Foxes advance to their 14th MAAC Championship Semifinal under head coach Brian Giorgis.
• Marist moved to 8-0 on the season when scoring 80-plus points.
• Sophomore forward Alana Gilmer scored 23 points—11th time this over 20—to lead Marist.
• The 60-percent clip from the field was a season-high.
 
Manhattan Notes:
• The Jaspers were led by senior forward Kayla Grimme, who had a game-high 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.
• Manhattan attempted 26 three-pointers—one off its season-high—but only shot 19-percent from deep.
• Senior guard Amani Tatum had nine points for the Jaspers and a team-high five assists.
