Marchuk was Quinnipiac's leading hitter this week, going 6-for-12 (.500 average) from the plate with a homer, three RBI's and a slugging percentage of .917. Marchuk's home run was the first of her career.
Pitcher of the Week
Nicole Williams, Manhattan
So., P, Ansonia, CT/St. Joseph’s
Nicole Williams pitched a shutout win for Manhattan vs. Central Connecticut State University on March 24. Came in to March 25 game vs. Wagner in relief to earn her first save of the season. Tallied nine strikeouts and had an ERA of 0.00 for the week.
Rookie of the Week
Keegan Zavodnik, Rider
Fr., C, Murrieta, CA/ Lakeside
Keegan Zavodnik batted .556 (5-for-9) in three games at the UMBC Retriever Classic this weekend as the Broncs went 1-2. She went 2-for-3 with a double, her first-career home run, two RBI's and two runs scored in the first game against Binghamton. She then added two more hits in on Sunday against Binghamton, driving in another two runs, before adding another double and run scored on Sunday against UMBC. Zavodnik is now hitting .292 on the season and has hit safely in four of her last five, including three multi-hit games.
