Bobcats Sweep MAAC Tennis Weekly Awards

Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Dominique Vasile, Quinnipiac
Fr., Bingham Farms, MI/Bloomfield Hills

Dominique Vasile continued to have an immediate impact on the Bobcats playing at No. 1 singles as a freshman. She picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 against Niagara to help Quinnipiac extend its win streak against MAAC opponents to 41, and also earned a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles. She was 2-2 on the week overall, after dropping her matches on the road on Sunday at Harvard.

Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Julian Rozenstein, Quinnipiac
Sr., Marlboro, NJ/Laurel Springs

Julian Rozenstein had a 4-0 weekend for the Bobcats in the No. 1 spot, as they improved to 2-0 in the MAAC with a 6-1 win over Niagara on Saturday and then knocked off an 11-4 Fordham team with a 5-2 win on Sunday. Rozenstein won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles with two different partners and capped off his weekend with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles against Fordham.
