2018 MAAC Men's Tennis Championship Field Set

EDISON, NJ – The 2018 MAAC Men’s Tennis Championship field is set. The top four teams from the regular season have been determined for the two-day championship that will be held at the Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ on April 28 & 29.
 
Monmouth University (13-13, 7-0 MAAC) will be the No. 1 overall seed after the Hawks claimed the Regular Season Championship with a perfect record in MAAC play. The Hawks are looking for a three-peat heading into the Championship.
 
Quinnipiac University is the No. 2 seed at the championship. The Bobcats went 6-1 in MAAC play with their only loss coming against Monmouth. Quinnipiac enters the championship at 9-9 overall and had won four-straight before falling to Monmouth in the regular season finale. 
 
Marist College (7-5, 5-2 MAAC) returns to the championship as the No. 3 seed. The Red Foxes last took home the title back in 2015, defeating Monmouth 4-2 in the championship match. 
 
The number No. 4 seed will be Fairfield University (8-11, 4-3 MAAC). The Stags make their third-straight trip to postseason play. Fairfield went 4-3 in MAAC play and won its last two matches to close the regular season.
 
The MAAC Men’s Tennis Championship returns to the Mercer County Park Tennis Center in West Windsor, NJ. No. 1 Monmouth will take on No. 4 Fairfield at 10 a.m. on April 28 in the semifinals. The Hawks and Stags have met twice in the MAAC Men’s Tennis Championship and the Hawks have taken both those matches by a score of 4-0. In the other semifinal match No. 2 Quinnipiac will play No. 3 Marist, also at 10 a.m. The Red Foxes are 2-1 all time in postseason play against the Bobcats.
